Investing in local people
Meet the Team
Our dedicated team of local people are our greatest strength, we pride ourselves in investing in the development of our people, creating a team of qualified, specialist property professionals.
Alan left school wanting a career in design. However, when looking for a temporary job before starting his further art education, he stumbled across a job in a local estate agency. From day one he was hooked, and never looked back some 35 years later! Alan was born and bred in Enfield EN2, going to Lavender School, Chase Side Primary and later Enfield Grammar school. His parents ironically bought and sold through Atkinsons when he was a child! Alan is a keen tennis player and is also a qualified Level 1 tennis coach, but his latest passion is Padel Tennis, the fastest growing sport in the UK. Alan’s claim to fame is featuring in six different episodes of the BBC’s property show, “Homes Under the Hammer”.
Sarah started work in the insurance industry. Her father was a local building contractor, who coincidentally was the Atkinson family builder! Sarah and Alan were a couple before they took over the business, but Sarah was still working for Legal & General when Alan bought Atkinsons in 1997. Sarah joined soon after as the business quickly gathered momentum. Again, Sarah is an Enfield girl, going to George Spicer School and then Chase Community Secondary School. Out of the office, Sarah loves getting to the gym as often as she can and is a keen equestrian too, looking after her two daughters’ ponies as well as her own horse.
Following a successful career with EasyJet, having fairly quickly climbed through the ranks, Nic became one of their youngest ever Cabin Crew Managers.
In 2020 it was time for a change and a new challenge and with the people skills learnt during her time with the airline, these transferred fabulously to her new role at Atkinsons.
She is so personable and friendly, nothing is too much for her and her positivity is infectious! She loves talking and understanding people, although she’s not renowned for her IT skills! Nic has two lovely kids and a dog called Bonnie, and she loves socialising.
Emily joined us in 2015 and worked in our busy property management team, having had a successful career in property sales and wanted a change of direction. Emily has since had two lovely children and has rejoined the team after maternity leave as a Letting Executive. She loves the buzz of matching people to property, drawing on her years of experience in property sales, and loves meeting new people, showing them around their next potential home. Now back in the fast lane, she plays hard at the weekend with Bounce Fitness, and balances being busy a mum around her career.
Thankfully one of Jane’s assets is her IT skills, making up for Nic’s lack! Jane is full of good ideas and is really friendly, creative and loves working closely with the rest of team to ensure our clients needs are looked after. She’s great at staying calm when things get chaotic, and she’s so keen to make sure everyone is updated kept in the loop. Jane loves a festival, although she prefers winter to summer! She’s also devoted to her new addition, a four-month old kitten called Pixie.
When entering our offices, you’ll be welcomed to Atkinsons Residential by Siobhan’s smiley face. Siobhan is a mother of one and brings a wealth of experience to our team. She used to own and run a health food shop before Atkinsons, and she loves bringing all she’s learned to her role as office administrator. Again, having never worked in the property industry before, Siobhan loves using her people skills helping clients find their new home. Away from the office, would love to be reading fantasy fiction on a beach, sipping a Mojito!
Kaleigh works in our Property Management Team, and has been with us since 2007. She is a dedicated, organised and methodical individual, which is essential when working in this busy department! Outside of work Kaleigh enjoys long walks with her two dogs, working out at the gym, running and has recently completed charity runs to raise money for Cancer Research and Crones and Colitis UK and may one day enter to complete in the London Marathon!
Olivia is originally from Manchester, and has been in London for 8 years, six of those with Atkinsons. Like all the staff here, she has never worked in property before here, instead she was in the makeup industry. Christmas is her favourite time of year, she’d have the office decorations up all year round if it was down to her! She’s extremely organised and works quickly/efficiently. Olivia is definitely the jack of all trades (head of IT, event planner, Christmas co-ordinator, you name it she can do it!!). She’s the office ‘go-to’ for anything that needs fixing. And her dog, Alfie, is her favourite person!
Claire is one of the few members of the team that has been in this industry before, she first started working as an estate agent at the tender age of 16. And Claire draws on her years of experience to guide our sales through to a successful completion with the minimum of fuss. She is constantly in touch with solicitors, mortgage providers and other agents in the chain to grease the wheels to ensure the sale goes through smoothly, while all the time keeping our clients in touch and holding their hand every step of the way. Claire likes to keep fit; Pilates and boxing are her thing. And being born in the summer, she loves the sun… finding every opportunity to fly off to her beloved Cyprus, spending quality time with her husband and daughter, who is her absolute everything!
Owen is our newest and youngest member of the Atkinsons team. Young, bright, polite and outgoing, Owen loves skiing, football and travelling. He loves his food too, often popping home for a quick lunch between appointments, rustling up some gastronomical delights, before flying back to the office. Owen is Enfield born and bred, and living just around the corner to the office, he obviously knows the area like the back of his hand. He’s so keen and enthusiastic and has a very dry sense of humour. Owen was also a bit of a child star too, featuring in the children’s BBC tv drama Jamie Johnson!
Toby is a 3 year old Cockerpoo and comes to the office daily. He likes to do his rounds several times a day visiting the team members for titbits and cuddles! Toby can often be seen taking any one of the other members of staff for a walk around the block, or sniffing and making new friends in Tucker’s Park. When not flat out busy on his daily routine, he’ll be flat out snoozing under one of the desks!
